Exceptional Food & Beverage is a core pillar of the Mission of The Melting Pot Restaurants and speaks to the very foundation of our brand. The Exceptional Food Trainer is responsible for onsite training of Exceptional Food in all Melting Pot locations as an extension of the Learning & Communications and the Research & Development Departments. In order to be a subject matter expert in all Melting Pot recipes, procedures, policies, etc., the Exceptional Food Trainer assists the Manager of Culinary Development with various research and development projects and tastings, driving operational excellence and consistency in every aspect of The Melting Pot Heart of the House (HOH, or kitchen). The Exceptional Food Trainer is focused on aiding locations and their franchisees in the consistent execution of operational standards, cleanliness, training, and food safety as well as finding ways to achieve profitability through innovation and new tools. Additionally, the Exceptional Food Trainer supports the Manager of Culinary Development and the Director of Learning & Communications in recipe writing, menu development, innovation, and standards development around cleanliness, exceptional food, training and food safety.

This fast-paced position demands a blend of professional acumen, organization and creativity. The candidate must be approachable, working effectively with a collaborative approach and strong influencing skills toward directing diverse groups towards the common vision of executing Exceptional Food & Beverage. The candidate must also be a “student of the industry,” well-versed in HOH operational trends that will drive food quality and profitability. This candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to set, research and operate within defined processes. While this position is primarily a HOH-focused position, this person must be trained and certified in all aspects of the Melting Pot management including FOH and HOH management duties. This position will be located in Tampa.

The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc. has created a 3-level Road Warrior trainer program designed to inspire trainers and franchisees that support the growth of our concept.

Based on the number of new openings you attend, in addition to your overall performance rating, you can earn different Road Warrior trainer statuses and pay!

Level 1:  Certified Road Warrior
Level 2:  Senior Road Warrior
Level 3:  Master Road Warrior

Candidate Prerequisites – must meet all of the following prerequisites before becoming eligible to apply for consideration.
* You have worked at The Melting Pot a minimum of 9 months.  If you transferred from another restaurant, your 9 month minimum starts with the transfer date.  This 9 month minimum applies to current Road Warriors as well as new applicants.
* Your franchisee and manager endorse your participation in the Road Warrior program.
* Your performance is currently rated a “meets standards” or greater.
* You have not received any disciplinary counseling within the past 30 days.
* You can state our mission and 10 principles without looking at your culture card.
* You are certified in the position(s) in which you will train/teach during the opening.
* You agree to all Road Warrior rules and understand what is expected of you at all times.
* You have completed your initial interview with your franchisee and/or manager.
* You have read the operations manual in its entirety.
* You have studied all learning and development materials for the position(s) you will train.
